Glenn Gamble

Glenn Gamble

Glenn is the eldest child of the Late Rev. George W. Gamble and Mrs. Hallie L. Gamble.

Born and raised in East Orange NJ, he is a graduate of the East Orange Public School System, earned a Bachelor of Science from Upsala College, a Master of Science from NJIT and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Felician University. While in high school he was the president of his Junior Achievement company, Glenn is an accountant by trade, a certified paralegal, NJ Life Insurance Broker and Notary Public. During college, he joined the North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club.

Founded in 1939, it is like a fraternity that is composed of African American men. A graduate of the Newark Boys Chorus School and a member of various church choirs, the Glee Club supports Glenn’s love of music and usage of his tenor/baritone voice. Upon completing a master’s degree in Management, he began teaching college level courses, and has been called upon to do motivational seminars. After spending thirty years in the business world, he decided to change careers by becoming a classroom teacher.

Being a teacher meant that he could bring his business experience and passion for sharing knowledge into the classroom. Graduating from an urban public high school has given him the ability to relate to and reach students enrolled in public schools in a meaningful way. His business practices coupled with classroom best practices, affords him the opportunity to enhance the probability of students under his tutelage succeeding in their studies. His philosophical educational statement is the same as the NJ Adult Education Association.

“Learning is lifelong.”

Glenn has been employed by the City of Orange Township Public School District since 2014. His recent achievements include: The Stock Market Game, Northern NJ Middle School (MS) Honors in the fall of 2021 and 2020, spring of 2019, MS, and High School honors in the fall of 2019. The Stock Market Game is a competitive investing simulation run by the SIFMA Foundation since 1977. The following quote summarizes his perspective on the teaching profession:

“The teacher’s art consists in this: to turn the child’s attention from trivial details and to guide his thoughts continually towards relations of importance which he will one day need to know that he may judge rightly of good and evil in society.” ROUSSEAU
